Enrichment Programming: Literature

Literature is important especially in early childhood development. The JCC is home to several free programs open to everyone that spark and hone your child's interest in reading as well as their social skills in groups.

Who is LJ?

Laura Jane "LJ" Ross, JCC's Director of Family Engagement, crafts free storytimes, songs, and fun activities for kids up to age 10. You'll see her at Grill N Chill with her "Grill N Chill-dren," on the Shoreline with her PJ Library books, at First Friends, and in surprise locations around Greater New Haven with her On the Road with LJ programs.

Schmooze with LJ the second Sunday of the month at Bagels & Books.

Past On the Road locations: Peabody Museum, Claire's Corner Copia, Pez Factory, and Massaro Farm.
