Craft worry dolls for young women at Alma Pre-Military Academy for Female Leadership. Alma helps disadvantaged women in Israeli society enter the IDF better prepared for higher positions that ultimately give them a better standing in life following their service.

Beverly Levy Early Learning Center Dedication

1 - 1:30 p.m.

“People come and go, but Beverly came and left a footprint on our hearts,” said Dr. John Levy, fondly remembering all that his beloved wife, the late Beverly Levy, brought to him, their family and the New Haven community. Beverly Levy, a longtime leader in the Jewish community, died at the young age of 63 on March 7, 2014. In her memory, Yeladim, the Jewish Community Center’s childcare program, will now be named the Beverly Levy Early Learning Center.

Phone-a-Thon

Call our community members to thank them for their support of the Jewish Federation’s 2018 Annual Campaign and make calls to provide others the opportunity to participate. It’s a Mitzvah! The Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign supports all the aspects of our community that we enjoy every day; our schools, camps, seniors citizens, Jews in need locally, in Israel and around the world.

Come together for the sandwich making that will benefit a local shelter. Camp Laurelwood will be assisting our Mitzvah makers to make sandwiches. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to sign  thank you cards to IDF and United States' Soldiers.
